Technical Sales/Relationship Manager

General Description

MaGrann Associates is an innovative leader in energy efficiency engineering and green building consulting. We are headquartered in Mount Laurel, NJ with offices in Washington DC, New York City and Connecticut and operations throughout the Northeast region.


​Our Client Relationship Managers are responsible for growing MaGrann business opportunities by establishing and developing relationships with clients across our service area. The ideal candidate should have strong sales and communication skills with knowledge of residential new and existing building markets, including commercial (multifamily) real estate, financing, and affordable housing development. Specific experience related to, sustainability, energy efficiency and green building services preferred but candidates with related backgrounds are encouraged to apply.


This position will be focused on supporting the Connecticut and New York region.  The successful candidate will need to bring or develop a thorough understanding of the regulatory, programmatic and funding mechanisms supporting MaGrann’s core services in the region, and establish relationships with key clients and stakeholders to promote continued growth of MaGrann’s business and the industry in general.

Principal Duties

Promote and sell MaGrann services to builders, developers, architects, building owners and managers:

  • Establish, develop and nurture client relationships

  • Self-manage sales development activities

  • Perform opportunity discovery to gather and communicate client needs

  • Coordinate with operations and the client in support of project management and delivery

  • Solicit client feedback and support problem solving as needed


Brand awareness and marketing activities:

  • Identify and participate in networking opportunities

  • Represent the company at conferences and events

  • Facilitate and deliver presentations to clients and appropriate industry forums

  • Participate and contribute to business development planning

  • Engage with and support Business Development team members and internal team relationships

  • Be a passionate ambassador for the company and the mission

Supplemental Information

Salaried, non-exempt position with commission and/or bonus plan

  • Annual performance and merit review

  • “Hybrid” location position based at the Connecticut or New York City office of MaGrann Associates and remote home office as approved

  • Typical hours 9:00am – 5:00pm with flexibility to accommodate client or company schedules as needed.  Evening events and overnight travel should also be expected.

  • Must have valid driver’s license with success to suitable transportation

  • Must be competent working with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Compensation (base salary plus commission and/or bonus plan) will be commensurate with skills, credentials, and experience.
