PROGRAM & POLICY ENGAGEMENT MANAGER

Primary Role:

The Program & Policy Engagement Manager provides an essential link between our internal development and operations teams, our broad spectrum of clients, and the many programs and policies that support meeting higher standards of performance in the built environment. This go-to role helps keep our finger on the pulse of our evolving industry, while at the same time functioning as a critical knowledge base for all things related to utility, state and regulatory engagement.


Principal Duties:

  • Program Incentive Liaison

    • Identify and track utility, state, federal and local incentive programs for potential application to MaGrann clients and projects throughout MaGrann’s service area

    • Engage with program sponsors to understand participation processes and lead MaGrann qualification or registration as applicable

    • Communicate and coordinate with internal project managers to ensure program incentives are understood and incorporated into project design and deliverables

    • Act as first point of contact and concierge for clients with respect to program eligibility and participation

    • Coordinate with Operations Managers to develop internal processes necessary for program eligibility and participation

    • Work with Business Development to ensure programs are understood and
      incorporated appropriately into the proposal and sales process

  • Program Policy Liaison

    • Support the Vice President of Program and Strategic Development in
      identifying and responding to new opportunities in program design and delivery

    • Identify and track utility, state, federal and local regulation and policy as it relates to our work and clients

    • Support MaGrann’s participation in energy policy and advocacy organizations and initiatives

    • Represent MaGrann at industry forums related to programs and policy, collaborating with Business Development as appropriate

    • Monitor new developments in program policy within or impacting MaGrann’s clients and services, communicate internally as appropriate and support internal and external responses

  • Provide program related operations support throughout the organization as needed​

  • Other duties as assigned

Supplemental Information:

​This is a full-time/exempt position based in our Mount Laurel, NJ office but with flexibility to accommodate the needs of the position and the applicant. Salary will be commensurate with experience and reviewed at least annually for performance and opportunity potential. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Energy, Sustainability, Environment, Policy, Business, or a related field

  • 1-5 years relevant experience with knowledge of energy efficiency policy or programs preferred

  • Competencies: Works independently, takes initiative, exemplary written and verbal communication skills, including crafting and delivering professional narratives and presentations, strong analytical capabilities with attention to detail, excels at collaboration with multiple teams and disciplines.
