Peter leads MaGrann’s operations in the New England region providing insightful support to our clients from the conceptualization to final completion of their high-performance single- and multi-family home projects. He is a passionate advocate for healthy, sustainable, energy efficient homes and in 2018 was honored by the EnergizeCT Zero Energy Challenge with the creation of the Peter Harding Service Award that is now awarded annually in recognition for Dedication and Service to High-Performance Housing.

Peter joined MaGrann Associates when his company, Home Energy Technologies, merged with MaGrann in early 2020. Peter founded Home Energy Technologies in 2009 and over the next 11 years built it into the largest HERS rating provider and ENERGY STAR Certified Homes verifier in Connecticut serving developers, owners, and builders of single- and multi-family homes.

Peter is a Certified Passive House Consultant, RESNET-accredited Green Rater and Quality Assurance Designee and a certified verifier for the ENERGY STAR, Zero Energy Ready Homes and National Green Building Standard programs. He is a past-President of the Northeast HERS Alliance, a professional organization representing HERS Raters and Rating Providers in the New England and Mid-Atlantic region, and a frequent speaker on building science, high-performance homes and residential energy codes to audiences including builders, developers, code officials and architects.
