General Description:

MaGrann Associates, a New Jersey-headquartered Engineering and Building Science firm, seeks a MEP Design Engineer to provide detailed mechanical, plumbing and fire protection engineering
design. Candidate must be able to perform all technical functions associated with MEP design including load calculations, layout, sizing and system integration. The position reports to the Operations Manager, Multifamily/Design.

Responsibilities

• MEP design of high-performance buildings, including multifamily housing

• Engineering consulting assistance to clients

• Mechanical equipment selection, system design and layout

• Plumbing equipment selection, system design and layout

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field

• Experience in residential construction

• Experience with building energy efficiency and building science

• Experience in Design of HVAC and Plumbing Systems

• EIT preferred

• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Strong problem solving skills

• Proficient in the use of energy modeling tools
