Jonathan E. Jensen

At MaGrann Associates, Jon Jensen serves as the Sustainability Director and a technical consultant to developers and homebuilders who want to build truly green homes, guiding them through LEED for Homes, Enterprise Green Communities, Passive House, the National Green Building Standard and ENERGY STAR. Jon is thrilled to work with builders of large and small projects to help squeeze the maximum possible green performance out of their budget. Coming from a construction education background, Jon naturally explains complicated building science and construction process concepts that drive the requirements for these programs. A facilitator as well as a presenter– he seeks to demystify green building for all of his clients.


Jon works to bring green buildings to all in the region, as the Chair of the Board for Green Building United. He is also a former Board member of Habitat for Humanity – Perry County. Jon is a graduate of Carleton College and currently holds the following certifications: Certified Passive House Consultant, LEED AP HOMES, USGBC Green Rater, NGBS Green Verifier, HERS rater. He has also trained as LEED Faculty and a BPI Multifamily Building Analyst.


Jon lives in Philadelphia with his wife and teenage twins, where they love to cook, garden as well as play, coach & watch too much soccer.
