ENERGY STAR Certified Homes

®

MaGrann Associates has been an ENERGY STAR Homes provider since its inception in 1996. Having certified almost 50,000 homes to-date, we can walk you through the latest standards and help you deliver the benefits of energy efficiency without sacrificing exceptional design, comfort, and durability. We provide a full range of services from consulting and training to certification.

The step-by-step process for ENERGY STAR Homes certification includes:

Initial Plan Review: A one-time rating from plans and specifications to determine project level upgrade recommendations.

Pre-Construction Orientation: Half-day training meetings with site crews, subcontractors, and others involved in the design and construction process, to discuss and review construction details.

Pre-Drywall Verification: Verifies air sealing and insulation of the foundation, envelope, and duct systems, giving installation and compliance recommendations as necessary.

Final Verification, Testing & Certification: Determines specific performance characteristics of the house and systems along with final qualification for ENERGY STAR labeling.

Support & Training: Multiple training offerings for various aspects of the ENERGY STAR construction and sales processes as well as technical support for resolving construction or performance challenges.

ENERGY STAR Multifamily High Rise

The ENERGY STAR Multifamily High Rise (MFHR) Program was designed by EPA and addresses these unique building types. We can walk you through the latest standards which require mid or high rise multifamily buildings to be at least 15% more efficient than ASHRAE standards. We’ll help you deliver the benefits of energy efficient performance and quality and can provide a full range of services from consulting and training to certification.
