Emma Raymont, PE
As the Director of Engineering, Emma manages the Green Building & Design Consulting Services groups at MaGrann Associates.
Emma holds a dual B.S. degree in Civil and Architectural Engineering from Drexel University as well as a B.A. in History from McGill University. Emma’s career in the building construction field has included survey work on existing buildings, structural and architectural CAD services, and energy analysis for commercial buildings. Since beginning at MaGrann Associates in 2002, Emma has performed hundreds of heating and cooling load calculations, worked with residential builders to design cost effective, energy code compliant homes and analyzed utility usage. She has designed mechanical systems for single-family and light commercial buildings and acted as project manager for multi-family building projects.
Emma draws her inspiration and passion for building science from a childhood spent growing up in a perpetually half-finished house and from a young adulthood living on the edge of urban redevelopment in Vancouver, Montreal and New York. She is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating & Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and was recently certified as a Professional Engineer.
She enjoys being outside with her family, participating in a wide variety of sports, eating food from her garden, composting, and attending community events with her friends.
