Suites at Third is a newly certified LEED Gold apartment building in Champaign IL, designed with the University of Illinois student in mind.

​

68 larger suites with 251 private bedrooms earned LEED Gold by focusing on the energy efficiency of the building while also promoting a healthy indoor environment for the students to live. Indoor lighting, water heating and upgraded ventilation systems were all employed to achieve the efficiency and health objectives of the project.  Native plantings outside augment gathering spaces for residents without adding to the water demand of the property.

Indoors, water consumption is limited by providing effective plumbing fixtures that use less than the code compliant fixtures.
