Ben Adams
Vice President, Program Development
Ben Adams leads program design, operational start-up and ongoing refinement of state and utility sponsored energy efficiency initiatives. Ben brings over twenty years of experience in residential program design and implementation, as well as his key relationships throughout the home performance industry to MaGrann Associates.
In New Jersey, he has been responsible for the reconfiguration of utility low income programs from prescriptive to performance based and supported the transition from individual utility new construction programs to a statewide ENERGY STAR Homes standard. Nationally, he has provided design consulting for residential programs in Massachusetts, Wisconsin and California, and helped establish an ENERGY STAR Homes implementation template for Enterprise Green Communities. Ben recently completed a very successful start-up of the LG&E/KU ENERGY STAR New Homes Program for E.ON U.S. in Kentucky (recognized by RESNET with its 2009 “Leadership in Market Transformation” award), and is currently developing residential new construction initiatives for AEP Ohio and Columbia Gas of Ohio.
Ben has been on the board of directors of RESNET since 2003, was a Board Director of Affordable Comfort from 1997 to 2008, and is a frequent participant in national strategy sessions concerning residential energy efficiency. Ben has a master’s degree in Business Administration from Drexel University and a B.S. from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand.
