Existing Home Auditor

Job Description:
The Existing Home Auditor will conduct quality assurance inspections on homes participating in Weatherization Assistance, Home Performance with Energy Star, Home Star or other existing home energy efficiency improvement programs. S/He will conduct home energy audits in accordance with BPI standards, participate in program and company technical training events, and advise internal and external clients with respect to building science, weatherization and quality assurance issues.
Duties will include:
- Assist in the development of Program sampling protocols, inspection procedures, inspection forms and reports;
- Coordinate the scheduling of inspections with MaGrann administrators;Perform utility bill analyses;
- Technical lead for existing home audit-type programs:
- Understand all program requirements;
- Conduct inspections;
- Prepare and submit electronic event reports;
- Provide technical assistance to other MaGrann staff providing QC inspection services in support of the program;
- Identify training needs for program participants;
- Provide other support as requested by Program Entity;
- Prepare monthly tracking reports;Compose audit reports based on inspection results;
- Provide technical assistance in the development and implementation of QA policies, procedures and metrics for Program activities as necessary;
- Provide technical and QA support to other MaGrann projects as needed;
- Attend related conferences and seminars as approved;
- Maintain current working knowledge of related technical developments and issues;
- Contribute to technical policy, procedure and metric developments by MaGrann Associates and/or its clients;
- Manage and maintain assigned field equipment;
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include a minimum of six months experience conducting comprehensive home energy audits and weatherization test-outs in accordance with BPI standards, the ability to communicate effectively with residential customers and the ability and willingness to work in a paperless environment utilizing computer-driven processing. Must be self directed with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal resources and external clients, customers and stakeholders. Requires a valid driver’s license and use of a suitable vehicle for transporting testing equipment.
