Robert Wisniewski
Senior Technical Consultant

As a Senior Sustainable Design Consultant with MaGrann Associates, Robert Wisniewski draws from his 13 years of hands-on environmental design, project management and construction experience to assist developers, architects and builders with expert green building/LEED^® consulting, management and verification services. 

Prior to his work with MaGrann Associates, Wisniewski worked as a Green Building Specialist with the award winning New Jersey Green Homes Office within the Department of Community Affairs.  He assisted in the development and administration of green building programs for the State of New Jersey and to provide green building project management and consulting services to developers of affordable housing units.  The Office was awarded the 2006 Energy Star Partner of the Year “Excellence in Affordable Housing” for its green building consultation services to over 2500 affordable housing units in New Jersey, including two near zero energy homes.  He is also former co-owner of the Colorado based sustainable design/build firm Within Designs, specializing in constructing environmentally integrated and energy efficient homes.  His projects employ innovative technologies and materials including strawbale, tire rammed earth, and papercrete wall construction, reclaimed building materials, green roofs, alternative wastewater treatment, passive/active solar technologies, and natural non-toxic finishes. 

Wisniewski has co-authored and authored a number of green building documents and continues to write and present on a wide range of topics.  He believes that green building is a design and construction process that has more to do with thoughtful and creative planning than it does sophisticated technology.

Wisniewski holds a degree in Environmental Science and Geography with graduate studies in Architecture, Ecological Design and Urban Planning.
