Christopher Edelstein

Chris Edelstein comes to MaGrann Associates with a strong background in information technology.  When he joined the Company in September of 2007, he was charged with managing a team of analysts, inspectors, consultants and designers with the goal of improving efficiencies that would benefit the client and help them be more successful.

Armed with significant experience, most recently at University of Pennsylvania where he was Director of Projects and Strategy, Edelstein brought to MaGrann a strong focus on process review and improvement.  An early example of this was the initiative to reduce the time between Energy Star inspections and the receipt of the formal certification.  This improvement allows a builder to sell a fully certified Energy Star home and reduces inconvenience to a new homeowner by ensuring that required adjustments to the home are made prior to closing.

Edelstein enjoys the challenge of blending the strategic mindset with a more tactical approach to business.  His focus is to create a detailed plan that will achieve the corporate objectives.  By May of next year, he and his team will have fully implemented the consolidation of various stand alone systems within the Company.  This alignment of technologies will enhance the efficiency of the business, improving both internal and external communication.

When he bought his current home in 2004, Edelstein learned how important comfort issues can be.  He contacted Ben Adams who recommended an independent home energy audit.  The results of the findings made a big difference in the quality of life for Edelstein and his young family.  It was then that he realized how gratifying it would be to help other people make their home a better place to live.

Edelstein received an undergraduate degree from Oberlin College in Ohio and furthered his education at Drexel University where he secured an MBA.  He looks forward to more opportunities to pursue energy efficient solutions for customers and to helping MaGrann Associates provide them in an efficient and cost effective manner.
